SPOT IT, STOP IT

Target Audience: Women aged 55+; Women aged 65+, plus their Circle of Support network in County Durham

The National Fraud Authority (NFA) commissioned us to deliver a community engagement and outreach campaign aimed to provide support to women aged 55+ to help them recognise and reject any potential fraudulent approaches and offers

Over 8 weeks, messages and support were shared at more than 250 community events and one-to-one conversations were carried out with more than 3,250 women, whilst marketing materials were left at 700 community and commercial venues visited by the target audience.

The campaign helped raise awareness and understanding of fraud amongst the target group and significantly increased their ability to avoid it and their confidence in reporting it.

The NFA reported a 5:1 positive return on investment from the outreach campaign.
