The UK’s switch to digital TV was the biggest change to the way we watch television for a generation and many viewers were daunted by the change to this important part of their lives.
The outreach campaigns we delivered, which included a grant management programme worth over £1M, ensured 800,000 of the hardest to reach and engage people across every part of the UK were provided with face-to-face information, advice and support.
It is estimated that 2.5 million people benefitted from the campaigns which included, managing a home visit service to provide chaperone visits , help with completing forms, and aftercare advice for eligible people, and delivering a communities programme that was able reach the most socially isolated individuals in the country .
