Jon Trigg

CEO, CEL Group

 

Jon began his working life in the Army, serving several tours overseas, before leaving to join Deutsche Bank in the City of London specialising in Global Cash Management and large scale transformation programmes converting State-owned banks in Eastern Europe and the Middle East into private sector businesses. Jon then returned to public service in Local Government as an Executive Director responsible for performance management and service transformation.

Jon then moved on to become the Strategy Director of one of the UK’s leading private sector providers of government services, being a part of the senior team that grew the organisation into a £250m+ turnover business, operating across the UK and in some eight countries overseas.

He left to take up an appointment as a Director of the NW-based company, CEL Ltd, in June 2010 before heading a Management Buy-Out of CEL’s public services delivery including Home Improvement Agencies, Skills and Local Government work.

His non-executive experience includes a four year appointment as a member of the Co-Operative Financial Services/Britannia Building Society’s Charitable Foundation Board, and a Non-Executive Director of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s Consular Management Board. Jon’s other non-executive work includes a post on the Board of Ixion Holdings Ltd (the not-for-profit trading arm of Anglia Ruskin University) and the chairmanship of the not-for-profit Nottinghamshire Training Network.

Away from work he is a student of military history and has been published several times on that subject.
